We have not included the indoor earth clamp, the EC14. Due to the temperature differences between the air surrounding water pipes, and the water inside the pipes, the pipework is always going to suffer from moisture. Therefore we felt that the minimum standard that should be fitted is the EC15 which has the phosphor bronze to protect the strap from water ingress and corrosion. This ensures that the earth bond will not be compromised in the future by oxidation caused by inferior earth clamps and straps.
