Handyflow 5 Litre Oversink Water Heater

The Handyflow is a simple to install traditional vented oversink water heater. With a neat design and supplied complete with tap and spout, the Handyflow offers an effective, practical solution whever time and simplicity are the key priorities. The Handyflow incorporates a thermal cut-out that can be re-set rather than requiring to be replaced. This feature is particularly useful when the heater is likely to be drained frequently (e.g. when fitted in Portacabins)

Features

5 Litre
External temperature control
2.0kW element
White corrosion proof case
CFC free polyurethane insulation
Auto-reset thermal cut-out
Suitable for single outlet only

As with all water heaters of this type, cold water entering from the inlet valve displaces the hot water stored in the tank. It is normal for the spout to drip slightly during the heating cycle, caused by the water expanding as it heats up. Over-tightening the tap will not stop the dripping and may result in damage.

Users with a requirement to serve more than one sink or to use regular taps should consider the Speedflow unvented water heater as an alternative to the Handyflow.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Is the water heater unvented? Vented, via the spout.
  2. Can I fit ordinary taps to the water heater instead of the spout? No because the spout is the vent. Fitting the water heater to ordinary taps will cause pressure to build up inside the unit.
  3. Are there any special taps that can be fitted? You can get vented taps. These are complicated and expensive, but look like regular taps and allow the unit to be sited under the sink. But if you’re doing this, why not use a Speedflow?
  4. What is the tank made of?The tank is made from a type of plastic.
  5. What is the kW rating of the water heater?2.0kW.
  6. Is there a safety cut-out on the water heater?Yes - the Handyflow point of use water heater has a automatically re-settable thermal cut-out.
  7. What is the problem if the spout starts dripping on the heating cycle? There is no problem – slight dripping is perfectly normal.
  8. What does the neon light mean? The element is on.
  9. How many sinks can a Handyflow water heater serve?Only one because the spout will only reach to one sink.
