I am having a iLight control system at home and need an external PIR. They dont do one in their range. I have seen the GJD Mini Opal External PIR and wonder if it is compitable Can anyone help Thanks Alert Reply: Hi Dilip I have just had a quick look at the iLight system. We are not familiar with it at Alert but I dont see any reason why the GJD Mini Opal would not be compatible. Here is GJDs technical contact telephone number: Technical: +44 (0) 1706 363 990
****Mini opal sensors

Fitted four Mini Opal sensors in conjunction with Emerald Mk 3 Zone Lighting Controller when replacing obsolete Racal system. Same wiring requirements as the old sensors made the task relatively easy. No problems with installation except that when attaching to brickwork, felt it adviseable to add a plastic 'backplate' to achieve a flat mounting surface for the sensor. A section of 5mm thick upvc fascia board proved ideal for this.
