  Excellent kit, comes with literally everything you need, screws, wall plugs, clips and cable. found the kit extremaly easy to fit and program. would recommend to even the novice DIY person. very good value for money.

  My first attempt at fitting a house alarm has gone very well. Not knowing anything about alarms, I researched all the permutations available on the market and decided on the Honeywell ADE Gen4 Pro Kit with LCD Remote Keypad. Installation of the parts was easy. Routing the wiring obviously depends on the building but in my case, a very neat job due to the layout. I was a little corncern at no wiring code but soon established from other internet sites regarding alarm wiring that there is no standard colour wiring code, just follow the same colours for each function. I am pleased with the alarm for just over £110 and chose to buy an additional panic button which I didn't need as there is an SOS/panic attack button on the keypad. Comissioning was straighforward as long as you take an hour to read the set up manual properly. One slight disappointment is the brightness of the LED comfort lights on the Reson8 bell box as they could have done with being a lot brighter. Others have also commented on this. In all, a good alarm which is very much extendable should you wish to have eight zones. The kit comes with all you need including clips, electrical spur and plenty of cable. Fitting time for me was about 2 1/2 days in all but I recon I could do it a lot faster now.

  Used to fit ADE panels in the mid 1990's (Optima Range), never had any problems.Now I've retired from the day job.have reverted to fitting alarms for fun for friends and family. This kit really is A1 and great value for money, Panel now has more on board fuse protection is still easy to wire up. Had some minor trouble with the tamper when commissioning but this turned out to be as simple as the wall holding the keypad panel was not flat. I simply very slightly loosened one screw that held the base plate to the wall and slipped a piece of card behind before retightening and all was OK. Very minor disappointment was the lack of service links provided across the zone termnals in the panel. Staples had been inserted across the PA and Tamper terminals but not the zones. I did wonder, as the board had been redesigned since my last installation, if the zones had changed from closed to 'open' circuits as the links were not provided. I soon found out that this was not the case and had to cut small pieces of wire to close the link for unused zones. DIY'ersLOOK OUT FOR THIS IF YOU'VE NOT INSTALLED BEFORE and I don't think the engineering instructions covered it but I have to say, given my familiarity with the circuit board, I din't read them in their entirety. Overall DELIGHTED with service from ALERT and with the quality of the product.

  Good kit - straightforward to add extra sensors and get a decent 8-zone system up and running. Bell box LEDs are rather dim, but otherwise all great.

  A very clever kit put together by Alert Electrical. Contains all the items needed to install a basic alarm system at a very competitive price. Had a small problem with the remote keypad tamper but this was easily resolved by adjusting the orifice depth on the backplate. Bought the ade communicator at the same time which was also easily fitted.

  This is a great value kit from a supplier who cares about customer satisfaction. When fitted it was obvious that the bell box was faulty. I contacted Alert and a replacement arrived the following day together with the collection of the faulty unit. You could not ask for better service. Incidentally, Honeywell were less helpful and the technical department representative was extremely abrupt. Not so with Alert who I have no hesitation in recommending and I will use again.

  same as the G3 with a LCD Keypad, kit came with pet alley pirs, easy to fit and pro gramme, with a library, I did'nt like when you set and a zone was open it showed "setting fault" the customer thought the system was faulty, overall a good system for the price.
