  A membrane / microswitch (single pole single throw) humidistat, not an electronic sensor, but has satisfactory.response. Easy setting adjustment. Installation leaflet. Used it to replace failed VentAxia Ecotronic at much lower cost. Supplied with crimp receptacle connectors, which have to be bent to fit within the outer case (app. 120 x 50 mm.). For safety add heat shrink / sleeving to the connectors Conforming to electrical safety separation distances from users of shower and bath I surface fixed it to the wall, wired through a small hole into the cavity and into the adjacent single gang metal back box which has the fan pull-switch plate. There are two small plastic spindle bosses on the back of the humidistat switch which prevent it from sitting perfectly flat on a wall, by about 1.5 millimetres. Don't cut or file them down! Don't overtighten the front cover securing screws to try to overcome this, as it may disturb switch performance.. Better to chalk/crayon impression marks of these 2 small boss contact points onto the wall, then indent the wall surface using a drill tip or screwdriver to give them clearance, then secure fixers. A low cost digital hygrometer from e-bay (China) suspended by the humidistat can help you get best switching point and help with monitoring around the house.

  Works fine, but there is no pull cord with this model so if that's important, you'll need to look elsewhere.
