  Firstly the response from Alert was excellent, I had not used them before. However, the equipment was dispatched in a prompt and proffessional manner within the timescales advised. The Panel itself along with the LCD RKP was easy to install and even though the instruction book seems a little daunting at first the panel actually comes pre configured with default settings that will suit the majority of users. In fact the only real changes I had to make was the programming of a Fire Zone. The odyssey 3 sounder was simple to install however I encountered problems with one of the captive fixings.Texecom could eleviate this problem by using a longer fixing and have this installed from the top. This would stop the fixing falling off. Apart from that everything great. Good value and great customer service from Alert, what more could anyone hope for.

  1st time I have tried one of these Texecoms used to much larger panel but it was so easy to use takes a 7 amp battery no problem easy to program brilliant domestic panel

  I scoured the internet for the best panel to replace my faulty Texecom panel which was itself 11 years old. I quickly found that Texecom were still one of the market leaders so I chose to replace 'like for like'. Alert Electrical were by far the cheapest website so I ordered the panel, to my amazement it arrived the very next day (what a service) The product itself had been simplified and instructions were very simple to follow (most of them you wont even use, a bit like the remote control for a DVD) however; you will need to paw through the installation bits. I am quite a novice with alarms but found to my amazement that it was so simple, I had the panel up and running within an hour. GREAT PRODUCT & GREAT SERVICE FROM ALERT ELECTRICAL........

  Easy to install virtually no programming to be altered.Up to date look excellent price!!. Even when out of stock the panel arrived ahead of estimated time. nice one Alert!!.

  Easy to install, easy to program by keypad of laptop via usb-RS232 interface and UDL software. Very good security level with Grade 2 and EOL technology. The UDL software it's holding database of customers and is providing option to print out all settings and program for part set zones and full set. The technical support from Texecom was very helpful with any problems not mentioned in installation manual regardless EN 50131.

  Excellent product, installation was very easy. Set up was quick and painless only problem was that I used the same 6 core cable for the keypad and an external loudspeaker. This caused pick up in the cable to the loudspeaker which gave a constant buzz from the loudspeaker. Rectified by using a seperate cable for the loudspeaker. Service from Alert was excellent ordered one day delivered the next.

  Fitted with the Odyssey 5E compact. Very easy to install with good instructions. Only problem i had was after install, found no.1 on the keypad was faulty. A replacement was quickly sent out but as it's the keypad that stores all the text for zones, users etc. this had to be programmed in again on the new keypad. Otherwise, good alarm panel and good value for money.

  Great product ...... Never fitted an alarm before The product was easy to install .... not enable all the features all seem to be straight forward I opted for the 7 ah battery which just fitted with all my wiring.....I think I would of gone smaller if I had of known ......but more to do with me than the product..
