  This floodlight is fine and gives a very good light for its 52watts. It seems to be good quality for the price. However, I bought one as a low-energy alternative to a PIR-actuated security light, and for this job it doesn't fit the bill. It has a long warm-up time, and so doesn't reach its full brightness until the intruder has escaped or you've already brought the shopping in. I returned to a 300w halogen in the end. Anyone want a SL226W cheap?

  appears to be a very good light fitting, really bright white light with a small amount of side spill when angled straight down, the service was very good, phone help was excellent. my only problem was with the rough handling by the delivery people which smashed both lamps! relacements were in the post straight away. thankyou

  Service and goods are good but this is the second time I have bought several of these lights and both times some of the bulbs were broken. I did email the first time about the breakages but had no reply. I wont bother this time. ALERT RESPONSE: Sorry Kim, we will be in contact right away to rectify the problem.
