PCB starts two flashing red LED’s alternately flashing when 12v is applied. This is ideal for use in a burglar alarm decoy box sited on a property with an alarm system where a 12v supply can be taken from a live bellbox. If there is no 12v supply present then a battery powered LED (LEDBAT) is the only alternative.

This is an excellent piece of kit, very simple to wire and easy to fit inside the box. As long as the 12v supply is there then the red LEDs will flash. In this day and age, anything that acts as an extra deterrent must be a winner. Just one small point that may be of interest; the factory fitted LEDs inside my 1E Texecom master bell box flash green and the LEDs on this module flash red - so your front and back boxes might not match!

****Burglar alarm bell box flashing led module 12v
By Stephen on 08th Apr 2013
Fitted to existing alarm box on system that I fitted myself a few years ago, but as neighbours have all had professional fitted alarm systems mine was standing out as no cycling lights, and as Street lights go out just after mid night made my box look just like a dummy.
Easy to fit to box in about 15 mins, I used the power supply from control box which runs Movement Detectors to power , red leds bright behind blue lens and can be seen from a good distant night and day.
Cycling speed of leds the same as professional fitted alarms so good deterrent as does not make box stand out from surrounding houses.
I am thinking of buying more units to fit to dummy boxes and these are a very good unit at a good price

What a find. I had old solar powered decoy bellbox, but it failed. (Or the sun failed..?) This unit fitted in a treat. No soldering. I just found an old 12v mains adaptor ( from even older failed lava lamp!) and hooked it up. Or Maplin can sell you one. On my adaptor, I guessed that positive was the wire with the white stripe, but suggest you dont guess as you might damage unit.
Unit has sells adhesive mounting pads, which might be ok, but I decided to silicone it in as we'll. now have it on a timer switch and looks great. LEDs are nice and bright. Looking to purchase another for my garage.

Does what it says ! Easy to wire up & install in dummy box. Mine's been running for a few years without problems. Bright enough to see 20 yds away at night when installed behind the blue transparent "lens" on my Texecom dummy alarm box

****Flashing led - works a treat
By Muke on 08th Apr 2013
Excellent product. Installed this in a dummy box with a 9V power supply (from a redundant broadband router!). By bending the LED's slightly, they are visible a good 30 feet away - during the day & through the Blue lens! Very bright indeed. A great service from A1 as well.

****A great item

I have looked everywhere for this type of item and I have finally found it. A great item, I purchased an external dummy alarm box from Ebay and mounted it on my garage. Then fitted the flasher unit into the dummy Box and powered it by connecting some Two core speaker wire from the Flasher units power terminal to a 3-12 volt universal Mains adaptor , again from ebay. Plugged the adaptor into a timer switch for the flasher unit to come on/off at my selected time, and job done for a total of £22 An absolutely great item with a very clear flashing mode that that has been flashing for the past 3 years at my selected times and will deter the most determined of intruders. I have since fited at least another six of these to my Freinds & Neighbours Garages/Sheds and all are running perfectly. A great Item
