Wirefree external sounder module

Compatible with: Infinite and Infinite Prime control panels

Infinite Wirefree external sounder module allows connection of wired sounders to the Infinite wireless alarm system

This module needs to be connected to a 240v supply. It is probably the hardest part of the whole installation as it involves getting up into the loft.  When I have explained this to people in the past they have been a little put off but once the need is realised then they come around.  If you think that without this device you would need to either:

1. Run a cable right through the house like alot of other so called wireless systems to connect the bellbox to the control panel.
2. Use a battery powered bellbox. Not fun when the battery runs out in the middle of winter.
3. Use a solar powered bellbox.  They just do not work well in our climate.

With this device you can fit and forget your bellbox as it will always be powered up and in the event of a powercut the backup battery inside the WSM will carry on powering the bellbox.

  I have installed a few of these and never had a problem. Quite easy to install. The advantage of the sounder module over the wire free siren is main long term cost in replacing sounder units. However, another advantage is that you can add more than one sounder module per control panel if required whereas only one wire free sounder can be installed per alarm panel. It's a pity is does not have any functionality to notify control panel of a tamper fault.
