Pyronix MEQ Blue PIR Detector

The MEQ Blue passive infrared detector from Pyronix works by constantly monitoring the the infrared energy levels around a room and recognising a change caused by entry of an intruder.  The detector will then infrom the panel which will initiate the alarm condition.

The MEQ Blue is a True Quad element Pyro-electric sensor which is especially suited to properties where the environment may be more hostile e.g. draughty areas, heaters, conservatories etc.

It offers superb false alarm immmunity and is ideal for most applications, be it commercial or domestic with proven excellence in terms of reliability and value for money.

State of the art production methods at Pyronix include a process known as SMT.  This ensures a consistently high wuality of product and protects against problems caused by radio frequency.  This means that false alarms as a result of radio waves such as those emitted from emergency services transmitters, are minimised.

The MEQ detector has several features which help give it a superior false alarm immunity:

• White light filter, filters out sunlight and car headlights
• IFT system filters out interference noise from external electrical sources
• Sensitivity can be adjusted using the analogue pulsecount on the detector.
• Sealed optics stop false alarms caused by insects getting inside the detector.
