Natural Convection Technology

Econo-Heat wall panel heaters offer out-of-the-way wall mounting and are an economic way of providing efficient room heating at a low cost. Using natural convection technology, heat is mainly generated behind the heater in the space between the panel and the wall, which leads to an efficient up draught of heated air circulated into the room (the heated air rises at a speed of 0.7m per second!). This principle of convection means that about 90% of the heat comes from the back of the panel, while only 10% is radiated from the front of the panel. This form of background heating is extremely economical, safe and efficient.

Your Econo-Heat wall panel heater is designed as an alternative to conventional bar heaters and other forms of high output heaters that use large amounts of electricity. It operates at relatively low surface temperatures (75 – 90°C, dependent on the ambient temperature), and uses minimal electricity.

  I have been using this product in two rooms over the winter and it has meant that I haven't used my more expensive central heating as much.  The cheap running costs of this product are saving me money and I anticipate a big saving in the long term.

  In the bedroom, I have put the plug into a timer and set it to come on an hour before I wake up and go to sleep to take the edge off for an hour or two.  I rarely use my central heating in there now.  I also have a timer connected to the one in my lounge for the evenings, enabling me to keep my central heating low.

  I have also painted the panels to match my wife's colourful decor!

  I bought one of these as a trial for my grand-daughter's cottage in West Wales.to replace the existing storage heaters. Delivery was swift and the unit was easy to install in the living room. We have not yet had any severe weather but during July we did have some chilly evenings and the heater seemed to cope well. I have therefore decided to order two more for the bedrooms. My grand-daughter is a student working on her masters' degree and therefore has very limited income. In the severe weather last winter she could no afford to run the inefficient storage heaters so we will be interested to see what next winter will bring.
