This Infinite Prime kit comes complete with a wirefree external sounder, it just needs plugging in to power and thats it, no messing around running cables.
Features
The complete security, fire & home management
system. Secure transmission methods, long battery life and superbly designed detection accessories enable the installation of infinite to be trouble free and more importantly, virtually wire free.
Whilst Infinite's primary role is that of a high security intruder alarm, its full capabilities can offer the end user many functions that at last combine protecting the property with helpful features that will be used every day. Wireless smoke detectors and X10 modules to control electrical appliances can be easily fitted to the system.
Where other wireless burglar alarms claim to be wirefree, they normally still have cables to run between the control panel and the external sounder, and also any extra remote keypads. The hardest cable to run is normally the one between the control panel and the external sounder because it involves running a cable between different levels of a property. The Infiniti has none of these problems. The only cables to install in the whole system are providing power so that the control panel and the external sounder can be plugged in to a local power socket.
This is a very sophisticated burglar alarm system that would normally retail for many £100s of pounds.

You have peace of mind when you purchase an Infinite alarm. We 100% guarantee it against outside intereference caused by electrical or radio interference. This includes, computers, mains power, CB radios, taxis, any interference. The FM transmitters within this system have high security data encryption making use of a rolling code facility which makes the chances of any other transmitters accidently using the frequency highly unlikely, in the ratio of 1,000 000s : 1. |

Q&A
1. I know it is wireless but will I be able to fit it? Provided that you can provide a 13a socket for the control panel (or better still wire it in using a unswitched connection unit and the external sounder there is no other wiring to do. The programming of the control panel is menu driven using simple yes and no answers.
2. Can I use it with my pets in the house? Yes you have three choices. If your pet is under 50lbs you can fit these INF-PET animal immune detectors. If it is over 50lbs you can connect magnetic contacts around your home to protect the perimeter while the pet is free to use the inside. If there is a large window with lots of openings standard magnetic contacts can be used wired in to a Infinite Universal Transmitter which can have a dramatic reduction in cost.
3. Is the panel big enough for my needs? The control panel has 32 zones, big enough to have one zone dedicated to each wireless device. If there are any other detection devices that you would like to fit then the panel also has a traditional hard wired zone for this purpose.
4. What is the range of the signal between the control panel and the wireless devices and also will the alarm be set off by ambulances and taxis passing my house? Wireless systems have come on a long way since they were first launched. The Infinite uses 868Mhz FM to create a strong clear signal for up to 200m in free air, or approximately 90m through walls depending on conditions. The control panel has a signal strength indicator allowing easy determination of these factors. The FM transmitters within the system have high security data encryption making use of a rolling code facility which makes the chances of any other transmitters accidently using the frequency highly unlikely, in the ratio of 1,000 000s : 1.
5. How long do the batteries last in the detectors? The batteries supplied in the detectors are 3.6v lithium batteries. They will last for 4 years of continuous use. At the end of that period we will be able to supply replacements.

Fantastic bit of kit, however my two slight concerns are that the PIRs seem to leave the premises a little vulnerable as they are not very sensitive to movement. and the inability to set 2 individual entry routes to the 2 different armed zones makes life tricky.

I have fitted loads of these alarms now, and they are fantastic! I have puchased cheaper alarms before and they do not come close to this. You still have to run power to the main panel and external siren, but you can just use a fuse connection unit next to a double socket to take power feed. The siren is so loud it is deafining! There are so many things you can do with the alarm, i.e add smoke alarm, flood detection, carbon monoxide alarms and you can store 3 contact numbers, so if there the alarm is set of it will contact you. You can also dial in to disable the alarm and listen in to see what is going on (if you order the extra parts) If you live in essex or Londonand need a good electrician to fit it for you then please dont hesistate to contacts us Positive Electrical Contracts Ltd on 0208 227 0035 or 07947306488

Excellent service and technical back up. A first class product that is very easy to install and use. I would recommend this product.
****Alarm system replacement
By Adrian Tarr on 08th May 2011
This product was chosen to replace a wireless system of about 22 years old. It arrived as predicted, and is relatively easy to install, though due to its flexiblity, there are one or two potential hazards for the home installer. The help line is very good if needed (it was), and questions are answered in understandable terms. The product seems good, though I still have to insatll the external siren before I will be able to tick all the boxes. So far so good. I need to buy two more INF- PIR sensors, and have also a damaged case back on one of the PIRs. Can this be replaced? ALERT RESPONSE: When you place your order send us a seperate email with your order number on and we will send you a replacement casing FOC

I am very pleased with the system. Easy enough for most people to install. But most importantly the technical back up from the makers ESP is excelent. Also it is simply once the basic system is installed to add on other devices. I would certainly recormend this product.

Nice kit, particularly like having mains back up to the external siren and internal control box which also contain rechargeable batteries in case of a power failure. Reasonably straight forward for an amateur to install and set up although you do need a little patience to read through and follow the set up instructions. Lithium batteries in PIR's and door alarms are a nice touch that should give longer life. Watch out if you buy the separate Panic Alarm thinking you can use it to activate the alarm system from say upstairs. The Panic Alarm is provided set up as a 'Medic Alarm' that on activation only initiates a phone call. To trigger the siren you will need the extra set of instructions that require you to do some bridging in the control box (info comes via an email from the Technical Dept. you need to ask for) - again fiddly but quite achievable by the amateur. All in all - recommended. Roy
