Dimplex Wall Mounted Fan Heaters - the FX20IP range

Alert Description:  Similiar to the well proven and popular Dimplex FX20V, the Dimplex FX20IP is a logical improvement to the range, it is splashproof to IPX4 making it suitable for Zone 2 bathroom use (correct observation of the installation instructions is essential).  The appearance  of the heater have also been brought up to date at the same time so that it wont look out of place in the modern bathroom.

  Heater switch failed by jumping out of seating with gentlest of pulls. Second unit from Alert (great service from them!) showed exactly the same characteristics. Plastic rocker switch sits in plastic saddle for perhaps 3 cycles, then jumps out. Poor design, completely useless. Dimplex weren't any help, so both units returned to Alert, and now going for another manufacturer.

  Quick delivery and easy to fit. Looks very stylish and provides a good heat level to the shower room. Easy to adjust settings.I would recomend this to any one,a very good buy.

  Works fine at present, easy to install. However, cord pull switch is the flimsiest I have ever seen, and has already come off it's seating a couple of times. It requires only the gentlest of pulls to operate, and is easy to pull too hard. Design issue, not delivery of supply!

  Product simple to fit by qualified electrician. Used in main bathroom as supplement to heat available from towel rail in Spring, Summer and Autumn when main central heating not on. Product appearance is very neat with clean lines, and the outward slope built in to the heater ensures the downward heat is directed away from the wall and woodwork below. (fitted above the bathroom door.) Timer settings finicky to set, but work effectively, and extremely useful to ensure heater is not left on accidently for more time than required. Product could be quieter, but noise level acceptable. All in all a well designed, functional, effective and compact piece of kit.
