To decide what size electronic transformer is required, calculate the total power/watts it will be supplying:

e.g.  4 LV downlights with 50w/va 12v lamps installed is a total of 200w.  Therefore you need a 210va transformer.
       4 LV downlights with 20w/va 12v lamps installed is a total of 80w.  Therefore you need a 105va transformer.
