Fan complete with halogen light and remote control. Antique Brass motor housing with High Gloss Mahogany Blades, Matt White with complementary Matt White Blades or Stainless Steel housing with blades in Matt Maple.
Fantasia fans can be more expensive than others on the market but this can be explained by their many superior qualities. The silicon steel motors are larger, meaning more air movement, and have double sealed bearings to ensure durability and quiet operation. All metal finishes are double lacquered to eliminate tarnishing and all fans are supplied with a 10 year warranty.
All Fantasia products carry a 10 year guarantee valid within the United Kingdom. It is not valid for products delivered, or for use, outside of the United Kingdom.

The unit had all components supplied with none missing from the box - in fact there were a couple more machine screws and washers than stated - no bad thing! All component parts were well protected and packaging was quality. Fitting was fairly straight forward, although largely due to the remote control receiver, space was a bit limited when it came to stowing the necessary excess length wiring. I was lucky because the light fitting that I utlised for fitment didn't have too many other lighting circuits connected to it, so I was able to contain all excess wiring within the head of the fan itself. One slight criticism of the construction is that the casting that hangs the motor unit from the ceiling fitting (another casting) has a spiggot that is supposed to stop the motor assembly rotating within the ceiling casting when in oporation - this spiggot completely failed to locate in it's mating orifice in the ceiling mount. However, I have not found that there is any tendency for the unit to rotate within the ceiling mount during any speed of operation so I guess this isn't really a problem. Once assembled and fitted in place, the operation of the fan is faultless and very quiet and is totally acceptable for night operation in the bedroom (when any noise becomes apparant at night)! This is probably a personal preference, but wiring the unit would have been easier for me if the company had supplied a 'wiring diagram' rather than a worded description of how to connect the wiring - to para-phrase - a diagram is worth a thousand words. A very good looking unit when fitted. One thing that you aren't told is that it is possible to have the light controlled by both the light switch on your wall (for room entry) and be controlled by the remote unit. This can be easily achieved with no modification simply by drawing your own wiring diagram from their written instructions and interpreting accordingly! Obviously, you have to at some point turn the wall switch off in order to allow the remote to operate the light (and of course the fan) for dimming etc. since the wall switch will bring the light on to full intensity only. Having had cheaper fans in the past, this is definately worth the extra money.
