Manrose 4" Window Fans

The Manrose range of 100mm (4") Bathroom/ Toilet Fans incorporates the latest technology and design and offers the most comprehensive range with the widest choice of options and variations. The WF100 Series of fans for window fixing comes complete with integral pullcord switch and has built-in external backdraught shutters. It fits into a standard 115-155mm ø hole and includes 1m of 2 core cable.

The 4" series has an impressive extract rate of 85m3/hr, 23 litres per second. 

Attractively styled in high gloss ABS thermoplastics for modern appearance and ease of cleaning, designed for easy installation and can be wall, ceiling or window mounted. 

Power is provided by a single phase induction motor with pre-oiled bearings for a long, maintenance free life.
 
There are several options available;  Integral Pullcord units, Timer models which incorporate an electronic time delay switch. Humidistat Control models are also availablefitted  with a new 2 speed option as standard. The fan will run at full speed on integral or remote switching but will run at about half speed when humidity rises over the pre-set level which is adjustable between 40% RH and 95% RH. Complete with integral adjustable timer (adjustable 1-20 mins). Secondary speed is also adjustable. The PIR activated model with adjustable timer which switches on as a person enters the room and runs on after the room is vacated. There is no need to connect to a separate switch. Timer adjustable between 1-20 mins. Requires no switched live.

  Good looking fan fits (just) in window opening for a previous wind ventilator. Easy to install using an isolator switch off the ring main. Did not work when first connected. Usual test is to breathe on humidity sensor. After much trial and error discovered there was a loose wire leading to the circuit board. Alert replaced the fan with no quibbles. The fan itself is effective at clearing humidity. However it is far more responsive with the cover off (whilst the settings were being fine tuned) than when the cover is put back on (the sensor is effectively blocked apart from a few small slots at the base). I find I have to run it at a setting that switches it on at relatively low humidity, which means more energy will be consumed in the long run. The other option is to use the manual pull switch set at say, 30 minutes when showering. Obviously would prefer it to start up on its own as soon as the room steams up. Further fine tuning may resolve this. Or I may resort to drilling a few small holes in the cover...
