This kit includes the Texecom Odyssey 1E, an incredibly popular bell box in the UK.
It forms a complete fire, home management and security system, with safe methods of transmission, a battery life that is very long and excellent design of its detection accessories.
The top of the range features of this kit enable the installation of the Infinite alarm to be as free of troubles and wires as possible.

Its primary purpose is certainly that of an intruder alarm, but tapping into its full potential can provide additional options that mix property protection with helpful everyday functionality. Smoke detectors and X10 modules can be fitted, and the X10 modules can be used to control household appliances through the Infinite alarm.
Other burglar alarms might make the claim that they are wire free, but they usually have cables running between control panel and sounder. In addition, any remote keypads will probably have cables running to them. With the Infinite, you have fewer cables and thus fewer problems to contend with. In fact, the only cables you will have to install for this whole kit are there to provide power, so the control panel can be plugged in a local power socket, as can the sounder.
The entire system is an intelligent, high-end product, which Alert Electrical are happy to offer at extremely competitive prices. Alert Electrical are also able to provide a professional appearance by offering screenprinted bellboxes (PK1ALERT).

This includes, computers, mains power, CB radios, taxis, any interference. 1. So, what should I do to fit this product?
So long as you can get access to a 13a socket, which the control panel will plug into, there isn't any more wiring to be done. The programming is carried out by menu, using easy to understand "yes or no" answers.
2. I have pets - should I use this product?
For pets that weigh 50lbs or less, you can fit INF-PET detectors, which your pet will not set off.
For pets that weigh over 50lbs, connect magnetic contacts in order to protect your perimeter. In the mean-time, your pet can live inside.
If you have a big window, and many openings, try fitting magnetic contacts, wiring them to an Infinite Universal Transmitter. This could save money.
3. Is the control panel the right size for me?
This control panel has 32 zones, and is of a large enough size that it is able to have one zone per wireless device. The panel has a hard-wired traditional zone, which can be used to fit additional detection accessories.
4. How big is the range of the signal between the control panel and wireless devices? Will police cars and ambulances set off the alarm with their transmitters?
Wireless alarm systems are much better now, compared with when they were launched. This Infinite burglar alarm is able to use 868Mhz FM in order to make clear, strong signals that have up to a two hundred metre range in free air, or around 90m with walls in the way. This is of course dependent on any other existing conditions. The signal strength indicator enables you to find out quickly and simply what these factors might be. The transmitters use high security data encryption with rolling code capabilities. These make the odds of other transmitters accidentally using the same frequency very low, a million-to-one shot.
5. Will the batteries last long?
The batteries we provide should last a total of around four years, if you subject them to continuous use. After they have worn out, we can provide you with replacements.

Very pleased with the system, second one I have fitted. Couple of minor issues which were quickly resolved by staff from the ESP helpline. Have complete confidence in the system and technical backup.

Very dubious about fitting a wireless system after bad experience a long time ago. However went ahead with the job. Seems like a good system no issues when fitting it and works perfectly. Took just under 10 hours to fit and commision. Will def consider fitting another one.

Very pleased with the Infinite alarm system, fairly easy to install after reading all the documents. It took about 10 hours to complete and test the install and it is foolproof to use giving a great feeling of security when the house is left empty. The 'call to your mobile' feature is really useful. When it doesn't call things are ok, if and when it does you can call a neighbour to investigate. Excellent value for money
