  Items arrived promptly and well packed. In the literature for the EP396A Optima Compact panel it states “Input for Remote Key switch or Push to Set Switch - A remote key switch or push (such as a door bell) may be used to set or unset the system.” but I could not find how to wire this in the engineer's manual. I emailed Alert Electrical but they could not help and referred me to a Honeywell help number. Honeywell informed me this remote push button operation cannot be done with this panel. I then phoned the help number at Alert Electrical. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable and indeed knew this panel could not be used in this way. They arranged for the Panel to be picked up and the money was refunded. I’m sorry to see the literature has not changed and still has this error. However my dealings with the staff on the phone was very positive and I would shop here again.

  I was a little bit concerned when I placed my order as I had not fitted an alarm before but my friend had recommended this particular system so I thought 'why not'. I need not have worried. The alarm system arrived next day and everything was straight forward. Everything provided down to the clips and raw plugs to mount it with and the correct back up battery for the main control panel. Here is a tip; to wire the control panel correctly follow the directions at the bottom of the description on the alertelectrical.com website, this was easier than trying to follow the instructions in the installation manual. I didnt need to do any programming of the control panel (the bit I was worried about) as it came with all the standard settings a standard 3 bedroom house needs. Very pleased, thanks alot.

  Item arrived quicky, packaging not very good some parts missing although this was dealt with swiftly. Several years ago purchased a complete burgular alarm set for our previous property alarm system was brillant hence why we have recently purchased from you again.   Some instructions a bit unclear but was able to work out. Now fitted and working fine. Have added two extra PIR sensors. Now adding extra remote keypad. Quick delivery and response to faulty additional PIR. Recommend this alarm kit and alert electrical for their response and support.

  happy with alarm ,, all wired up and running fine...but How do I change the bell time on a honywell ADE gen4 alarm panel, as Page 25 of the engineer's guide is next to useless, do i need to be in engineer mode? I would like to set the time to about five minutes. ALERT RESPONSE - We will find out and email you directly with the information.

  Despite being told item was out of stock it arrived within 6 days - Good value for money - System installed and fitted with no problems however set up instructions in Engineers booklet are of poor quality and quite confusing. Got there in the end and alarm now working a treat. Thank you.
